Stem cell therapy

Stem cell therapy is a very broad term and is described as the use of tissues, blood or stem cell-derived products that have the ability to repair, replace or restore biological structures and functions that may be lacking due to aging, disease or damage. Stem cells have recently taken center stage in current international biological and medical research.

During the last ten years, the use of stem cells has been expanded from laboratory research and animal experiments, to their application in humans. Their use is documented in extensive national and international academic literature. Many research centers have reported successful stem cell therapies for various illnesses as well as regenerative procedures.

When considering cell therapy for the treatment of a chronic degenerative disease it is important to make an informed decision. Navigating through the various stem cell therapies available can be challenging. EVO is at your side to help you understand what form of stem cell therapy or stem cell-based therapy may be best for you.

PBMC

PBMC or peripheral blood mononuclear cells are specific immune cells that are extracted from the blood and reintroduced to strengthen the immune response in the ongoing recovery. The process may be compined with PRP (Platelet rich plasma) or PPP (Platelet poor plamsa) and injected locally or given as in intravenous injection.

Exosomes

This form of cell therapy uses stem cell messengers which are part of the so-called stem cell secrotomes. Exosomes are derived from placental mesenchymal stem cells – the youngest form of stem cell lines available. They carry important anti-inflammatory proteins and so called genetic blueprints which they can insert into cells and thereby cause a regenerative effect. This advanced therapy may be recommended for patients that are severely immune deficient and want to avoid the liposuction procedure.
